Why Communal Care? Why now!?

Right now, our community is faced with an incredible challenge in simply navigating the day to day. From federal agencies violently targeting our neighbors to the ever-increasing cost of living, there are forces that seek to isolate and divide us constantly.

The Communal Care Challenge remedies that by giving community members the tools and spaces to build deeper relationships.

Dive Deeper Into Communal Care

s2ss some of us our brave

From Valentine’s Day (February 14) to April 11, 2026, Soul 2 Soul Sisters is bringing our beloveds, new and old, together for our annual Communal Care Challenge. Very similar to BINGO, you’ll choose one of two ‘Love Cards’ and complete as many activities as possible. Each challenge activity is carefully selected for participants to care for themselves, their loved ones, and their community. We trust you- so we’re using the honor system 👀

Here are the rules:

  1. Sign the Communal Care Pledge ➡️ to receive PDFs of the ‘Love Cards,’ event reminders, and access to our Communal Care group chat <3
  2. Pick one of our Love Cards & complete four of the activities listed
  3. Tag someone in the comments of our Instagram post you want to do the challenge with
  4. EXTRA CREDIT: For each row done, you’ll be entered into our drawings 1x

Educate

🤎Find out which Indigenous lands you live on and learn about the people

🤎Know Your Rights (and make sure your neighbors do too). Print out Red Cards and share them in your community.

🤎Knowledge is power. Tap in to these recommendations from the Banned Book List.

🤎Break free of individualism and respond to state violence through communal care in the form of pod mapping. Consider it a step further than memorizing your neighbor’s phone number. Originated by Bay Area Transformative Justice Collective (BATJC), pod mapping is a framework to tangibly acknowledge and deepen the relationships that ground and protect us.
