DESCRIPTION:Self-Love Saturdays for Black Women are vibrant\, intergenerational\, soulful experiences hosted by Soul 2 Soul Sisters. Please respect the sanctity of this space. \nRESERVE YOUR SPOT FOR SELF-LOVE SATURDAY FOR BLACK WOMEN IN MAY HERE!!!\n✨ Self-Love Saturday for Black Women in May DETAILS ✨ \nTITLE: Staying Soft in a Hard World \nDATE: Saturday\, May 28\, 2022 \nTIME: 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (MST) \nLOCATION: Virtual (Zoom link provided upon RSVP) \nCOST: Sliding Scale ($0 – $20 USD). In this workshop\, we will explore how each of us stay armored in daily life and who we are outside of our armor\, as well as practices that can help us access those soft selves more frequently. Please come prepared to participate in the discussion. \nFACILITATOR BIO: Chichi Agorom is a writer\, a Certified Enneagram Teacher & Practitioner through the Narrative Tradition\, adjunct faculty at The Narrative Enneagram and a former psychotherapist whose life’s work is to support people on their journeys towards wholeness and healing. She earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Post-Master’s Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. She also holds a Coaching Certificate from The Enneagram in Business. She lives in Los Angeles\, cultivating a life of rest and peace by the water. \nRegistration Deadline is May 21\, 2022 by 11:59 PM (MST).

SUMMARY:(3-Part Series) To Disrupt & Dismantle Racism - Active Work is Required Part 3
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Debbie Mixon Mitchell and the Soul 2 Soul Sisters Facing Racism Alumni program is making space for us to come together for a thought provoking 3-part online learning series to: \n\nIncrease self-awareness and knowledge about the dynamics of race and racism at the internal (within self)\, interpersonal (interactions involving individuals)\, and institutional (at and among institutions) levels and\nDeepen capacity to recognize and disrupt racist attitudes and behaviors that occur all around us\, every day.\n\nJoin us the third Tuesdays on Zoom\nJan 18\, Feb 15 & March 15\, 2022\n5:00-7:00 pm MT \nThe 3-part learning series will involve three work sessions to allow alumni and guests to think deeply as we deconstruct and reconstruct real life encounters (situations/conversations) that left us feeling challenged or ineffective as an anti-racist. This is an opportunity for us to deepen our awareness and understanding of the ways white supremacy culture and anti-Black racism emerge in everyday situations to maintain some groups in positions of advantage and disadvantage others. We will focus on the personal and collective actions needed to disrupt racist attitudes\, beliefs\, behaviors\, practices\, and policies we encounter within our family\, community\, workplace\, and congregations. The work sessions will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on the following Tuesdays: \n\nWork Session 1: January 18\, 2022\nWork Session 2: February 15\, 2022\nWork Session 3: March 15\, 2022\n\n**Please plan to attend at ALL THREE work sessions. Please only register for one person at a time. \nPlease come prepared to cultivate a sacred space as we engage in deep robust conversation\, sharpen our personal and collective capacity for racial analysis\, and develop additional tools for challenging personal\, institutional\, and systemic racism more effectively. \nNote: These work sessions are designed for those who are beyond the introductory phase of one’s development/journey to become an anti-racist. \nYou are invited to submit a very brief description of an actual conversation or situation you encountered that left you feeling challenged or ineffective as an anti-racist. These submissions will provide the focus for our work. The form will be linked in the email you receive after you register. \nThis is a public event hosted by Facing Racism Alumni. Please click here to learn more about Soul 2 Soul’s Facing Racism program and consider signing up for a future cohort! To read Dr. Debbie Mixon Mitchell’s full bio\, please click here. \nDATES: Tuesday\, January 18th\, Tuesday\, February 15th\, & Tuesday\, March 15th\nTIME: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (MST)\nLOCATION: Zoom link upon RSVP\nCOST: $20-55 \nWhile all alumni efforts are in direct partnership with Soul 2 Soul Sisters staff\, they are not formal Facing Racism-branded programming. If you have any questions\, please reach out to our co-leadership team directly at: fra@soul2soulsisters.com. \nWith Courage and Heart\,\n~ Facing Racism Alumni Co-Leadership Team & Soul 2 Soul Sisters\n\n*Scholarships are available at 50% of the ticket price. Please reach out to fra@soul2soulsisters.org to inquire about a scholarship. All ticket fees go directly to facilitators and Soul 2 Soul Sisters staff self-care fund.
