Bio: Danielle Jackson

BELOVED BOARD TREASURER

Danielle Jackson

Born and raised from four generations of Denver Natives who were educators and community leaders. I have spent all pivotal years of my life living in the Denver Metro area where I graduated from East High School, home of the Angels, and earned my Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Regis University, graduating with honors. During undergraduate studies I spent time in Tallahassee, FL where I attended Florida A & M University with a focus in Psychology. During my time in Florida I experienced true immersion into Black culture and discovered my passion for Black Liberation work. Since earning my undergraduate degree in 2012 it has been a personal goal to develop a framework and strategy to help improve financial literacy and outcomes, in underserved communities and minority owned businesses, by increasing the accessibility of tax and accounting services. This goal inspired me to start my own tax practice in 2017 and refocus and expand my involvement in the nonprofit sector. It is my belief that we all have a role to play in developing our communities for the future and I recognize nonprofit organizations as the major Segway to resolving the social complexities facing our world. I met my husband in high school and we dated for 10 years before marrying in 2013. We share two wonderfully spirited children, Zachary, and Zora, who constantly inspire me to push limits and bring grand visions into fruition. All that I do is for and inspired by my family who keep me grounded and are the embodiment of my happiness.
